A plug-in for backing up a Microsoft SQL database is a standard inclusion in the Backup 4 Less client. The plug-in enables hot backup of Microsoft SQL databases and can be used for Microsoft SQL 2000 and 2005 databases.

Hot backup

An MS SQL Server database server is continuously operational. Therefore Backup 4 Less can backup the MS SQL Server database without interrupting business operations, even during the backup window.

MS SQL Server API

The Backup 4 Less Client software uses MS SQL Server API. This makes the backup more reliable than the 'open file' type of backup.

Automatic backup by schedule

Backup 4 Less acknowledges the need of a daily backup of the MS SQL Server database. The software is capable of making an incremental daily backup, so only the newly created records in the database are backed up.

Applicability

Backup 4 Less is available for both MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005.
